The goats finally popped!

Hey y'all! Both goats had their little ones. Callie, the gray goat, had a cute little boy all by herself. I was busy feeding and got to see the entire thing. Allie, the brown goat, didn't have it so easy. She kept pushing and pushing and I could only see a nose and a foot. I had to get the second foot unstuck and then her little girl was born just fine. Allie is still not doing well though. Poor thing has a really hard time walking and lays around most of the time. I have to pull her up by the horns to make her eat, drink and feed her baby. I hope she makes it because I really love her. Her little girl is just as spunky as she was before she had her.

Did I mention that it was the neighbor's goat that got my goats pregnant? Well, I ended up going to the vet to get some shots for Allie, the brown goat. The bill was $108.00 which I could NOT afford. I swear, if you see me on America's most wanted, you will know why.

The babies are all about their Mom right now so, they haven't tried to play together. They pretty much ignore each other at this point. I can't wait to see them play together. Already they jump around and try and get their Mom to play with them. They both let me hold them. The little boy even licks me on the face like a puppy would.
Here are some pictures:

They are absoulutely the cutest little creatures. Hmmm... I wonder if I could talk the hubby into getting one to graze our yard. I know people are actually renting out goats to do just that to people who don't want to mess with raising them. It would be nice to not have to mow the lawn. : )

One of my neighbors had 2 goats in their backyard in Kissimmee so they never had to cut their grass. But they forgot that they(the goats) would eat the shrubs, Hee hee, so they ended up with a bare yard.
Sure hope you don't lose the nanny.
Do you think the other nanny will take the other kid as her own if it comes to that? They sure look cute.

See ya,
Kowgirl

So far she is still feeding the baby. She is still mostly laying around though. I tried to get the other nanny to feed the baby and she won't.

Grrrrl, I was hoping you would do this! The kids are awesome, both the four legged ones and the two legged ones. Please give 'em all a smooch from me!

They are just adorable! When my poodle had her puppies, she wasn't motherly at all! She did not care whether they are hungry, or cold. We ended up taking care of her puppies, from bottle feeding to etc... It was crazy, my friend told me that it was our fault. We stripped her off her maternal instincts coz we were so willing to take care of her puppies. Good thing my entire family loves dogs. Wish you all the best!
